SALT LAKE CITY (July 1, 2026) To celebrate Olympic and Paralympic Day on June 23, Utah 2034 partnered with “Salt Lake City’s YouthCity Out-of-School-Time program” to host movement-based activities and local Olympians and a Paralympian. 

Olympians Julie Letai, Kaysha Love, Hunter Powell, Chris Mazder and Conor McDermott-Mostowy, along with Paralympian David Blair, joined youth participants for outdoor games and movement-based activities as part of the International Olympic Committee’s Let’s Move campaign. 

“The goal is to make sure kids are getting outside…because I grew up with sport and that’s how I learned all of my life lessons and developed the person I am today. That’s what we’re doing. We want to have fun with everyone,” said Luge Silver Medalist Chris Mazder. 

Through the International Olympic Committee’s Let’s Move campaign, Utah 2034 is encouraging people to find joy in movement by making time to get outdoors and be active every day.
